  • The JIRC has continued meeting with the Company regarding implementation of the new scheduling provisions, along with the Scheduling Committee, to coordinate how the new bidding processes will work.
  • Last week, the Company published a new attendance policy that raised immediate and significant concerns for the MEC. The MEC objected to the policy, particularly its potential impact on safety, our Collective Bargaining Agreement, and protections afforded to pilots under applicable law.

  • San Francisco has a lot to offer on a long layover, especially if we eventually get the opportunity to stay closer to downtown. Even from our current, more distant hotel, getting into the city is fairly easy. One option is to take BART to the Embarcadero Station, then head toward the waterfront to start exploring from there.
  • During grievance mediation in June, both sides agreed to close out one grievance on the condition that a statement be presented to the pilot group clarifying travel home at the end of a trip.
